About
Hi! I’m Julianne—a mental health professional (WA state) and a DCA® Certified ADR & Pre-Mediation Divorce Coach (USA.). I am also a mama of three adult children and a gran of two littles. Below you can read my full bio / training, or you can find more general information on my Offerings page.
I look forward to working with you! Welcome.
Counseling Background
I earned a Master’s in Counseling Psychology with a Concentration in Trauma & Abuse at The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology in 2024. My training from The Seattle School has contributed to my deep emotional resonance and intuition. Through Lahai Health (2023-24), I have been carefully trained within a psychodynamic tradition to uphold good boundaries and make observations. I offer long-term psychotherapy and tend to work with clients on a weekly basis.
The Concentration in Trauma & Abuse within the grad school program (now termed Narrative Framework Trauma Care, Level I & II) involved two years of training through The Allender Center. The first year focused on engaging my own story with further curiosity, courage, and compassion. The second year focused on learning to engage the stories of others in a small, intensive group setting. NFTC Level I & II has equipped me to walk alongside clients to explore how past harm shapes the present by uncovering patterns, themes and unspoken binds. I love to see clients shift in ways that create space for self-compassion and greater self-understanding.
My devotion to understanding Betrayal Trauma (a term coined by Psychologist Jennifer Freyd in 1994 as a psychological response that occurs when someone you deeply trust or depend on for survival and emotional support significantly violates your trust or well-being) led me to certification in the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model (through APSATS). My scope of work does not involve couple’s recovery, but I can provide referrals to trusted colleagues who specialize in this area. I am skilled at working with betrayed partners seeking guidance through the common stages of (nonlinear) healing.
To further support trauma recovery, I became an EMDR-trained clinician. I introduce EMDR when clients are ready. I like to begin with the Calm Place exercise to encourage moments of peace outside of sessions. Building trust and entering into personal story—at your own pace—are important first steps in our work together for clients interested in EMDR.
Coaching Background
As a DCA® Certified Divorce Coach, with both ADR & Pre-Mediation credentials, much of my training is around de-escalating conflict and moving toward resolution in the separation and divorce process. I am here to assist clients in reaching their unique goals to get through and to the other side of divorce. My background in the mental health field brings in a trauma-informed lens, although it is important to note that divorce coaching is not therapy. I clearly define my role in our coaching agreement.
My role as a coach is to support clients in clarifying personal values, developing effective communication, and approaching interest-based decisions with a flexible mindset—while allowing space for emotional grounding. As a coach, I use a forward-focused, goal-oriented approach. Together, we’ll focus on where you want to go next—in the process of separation and/or divorce. I offer two tracks in the divorce coaching realm that you can find on my Offerings page.
I am also a certified BRIDGE™ Facilitator through the Women’s Financial Wellness Center in Milwaukee, WI. I am in the process of facilitating on online BRIDGE™ group for those in the PNW region, under the umbrella of both the WFWC and Rhonda Noordyk, CDFA. More information to come in July of 2026.
